As a kid I was extremely fortunate to grow up in Queens NY, Ozone Park to be exact. Back in the 70's and 80's it was a fantastic neighborhood that was filled with tons of amazing people, great shopping, and there was fantastic food all over the place, and on top of all that, the neighborhood was also very well protected by a very well-known individual by the name of "John" lol.

The house I grew up in was 3 short blocks away from Aqueduct Racetrack also known as the BIG-A, most of the women in the neighborhood went to the BIG-A to spend their money at their famous flea-market that ran every Tuesday, Saturday & Sunday, now the men in the neighborhood including my father and grandfather called the BIG-A their office. They went to the BIG-A religiously every weekend with one goal in mind, and that was to score big & make money on the ponies.

I will never forget my first visit to the BIG-A it was November 2nd 1985, I was just 11 years old I remember the date because it was just a few days before my 12th birthday I also remember the date because it was a huge day for horse racing it was the 2nd running of something called the Breeders Cup, that was also the day a horse named Tasso nailed some horse by the name of Storm Cat at the wire, the energy and electricity that day was insane, that was also the first day I ever touched a racing form, Some people would argue whether it was a good thing or a bad thing to live just 3 small blocks away from the main gate at Aqueduct Racetrack. I guess that all depends on the person, for myself I used it to my advantage, I turned that short distance into opportunity, and the way I did that was by mastering the racing form, to me the racing form was a challenge, I was determined to make sense of all the numbers and information in the racing form, I was also convinced that I could consistently identify the outcome of a race with the information given to me inside that paper, all I had to do was make sense of it all, from that point forward THEWINNINGHANDIPPER has perfected and mastered the art of handicapping so well that we decided to provide horseplayers on all levels with solid reliable information with our selections & analysis that will allow them to make well informed wagering decisions that bring back huge returns.
